Well well well, another hot day is coming to an end. I must admit it is a little cooler then yesterday it's only 92 with a "feels like" temperature of 100. WOW looks like winter is approaching (I wish). Actually the day has been nice, we've been in all day since we got home from the gym it has been entirely to hot to go outside. Certainly wish it would rain some, our lawn is turning brown and sounding real "crispy" when you walk across it.
Football conditioning/parent meeting was great last night. For the first time since Pat's been involved with the team, all of the players showed up - quite an impressive attendance considering how hot it was outside. It was nice seeing all the boys together and watching what they could & naturally couldn't do. I know all the coaches have their hands full, but it should be a pretty entertaining season. Uniforms are issued and the players are weighed-in this Saturday at 1:00, I'm anxious to see how many players we have that hit the red cap status (the position where they cannot move the ball forward) due to their weight. I think we only have a couple so it shouldn't hamper the team to much.
The house is quiet since Hank is gone. You can't imagine how much we miss him. I still get up at night and look for him laying beside the bed - I guess it was a habit so I didn't step on him. Well, at least I know he's in heaven with our friends and family running like crazy and watching over us. Abner doesn't seem to miss him but any of you that know Abner would understand that. We actually don't think he realizes he's gone.
Well, I think I'll close so we can run to the store for a few things. We love & miss everyone.
