Simply beautiful outside 89 degrees, slightly overcast, & breezy.  I don't know what more we could ask for.  I spoke with my daughter this AM and she said Baltimore was approaching 100 degrees - WOW I know that feeling far to well.  Sure looks like the heat from us has traveled North - well the good news is it WILL END and hopefully soon.  Please, please, please don't send it back to us.

Home from the gym and fixed a great salad for lunch.  Yep, out of garden we ate tomatoes, green (sweet) peppers, and fresh basil with olive oil & garlic flavored vinegar.  It was wonderful a nice filling lunch before our later then usual dinner after football conditioning.  Bad news today, we lost one of our players to another team that is closer to his school.  I work-out with his Mom and see her daily - we will certainly miss Vonte.  However, the good side is we can watch him play during football season because he is still with our league.  This child has a beautiful smile and will be missed by his coaches, team mom, & fellow players.

I'm getting ready to check the local web site to get an idea of what we are going to plant in the winter garden.  Sure hope we can plant tomatoes again, some nice pole beans, sweet & white potatoes, carrots, onions, lots of ideas just haven't read what they advise to plant in the winter.  I don't think we have to worry about any frost at all before January - hopefully we won't have a dreadfully cold winter like we did last year.  If the rain stops long enough we need to plow up the ground again, it hasn't really dried out since we originally plowed the new area a week or so ago.  That's definately on the "to do" list.  Our electrician is coming this weekend to move the generator and fuel tank we're definately looking forward to getting that done especially with the frequency of lost electricity.  I'll be glad when they run underground electrical lines - thank God for the good "powerful" generator.

As you can see we have lots of activity going on at home - never a dull moment.  So, I think I'll close and check on the planting schedule for the upcoming winter.  Remember we love & miss everyone.

Hugs & Kisses,

Patty
