You're right, it's early evening & still hot hot hot! I think the heat index today has been 102 or 103 the hottest day of the year & boy does it feel like it, I don't remember such a hot dry day
. Sure am counting the days for winter to get here, I love the nice cool (or should I say much cooler) days, with a nice breeze, and sunshine but not sweltering heat. Come on winter - we're waiting for you.
Dad's had a good day, he's reading & listening to the news. Honestly I can't believe how he can do so many things at one time at his age. He actually reads and still listens to the news. Periodically he will stop reading & comment about what the news is telling us. Wow IF I live to his age I hope I'm as alert & knowledgable as he is, we're lucky to have him in the condition he is in. He's pretty damn good for his age, one I'll probably never live to see.
No plans for dinner, we had a business meeting this afternoon & that kinda threw us out of sink, so I'll probably make soup for Patrick, Dad has eaten he fixed his own dinner, and I'll probably have some of the leftovers in the refrigerator. When it's this hot out the last thing I think about is eating, anything pleases me & Patrick. As long as Dad has a good dinner (which he already ate) we're fine with little to nothing.
Sounds like our MD family & friends are having hot weather. Considering your weather all summer you can't complain. Just think, you have "cold" weather on the horizon don't you feel honored? I'm certain you welcome the change to some extent. You are all accustomed to the change so it doesn't bother you like it would me. I HATE the cold weather almost as much as the HOT. Oh well, I guess some things are just harder to adjust to, and cold is definately one of my weaknesses.
