I can't figure where today went. We were off to drop Abner at the groomer this morning, then to the gym Patrick for racquetball and I had a good day with Tim, my trainer. Left the gym and went to the drug store to pick up 9 prescriptions for me & Dad, then to Publix to pick up 2 more prescriptions and finally home. Oops I forgot we had to go back out to pick Abner up at the groomers. It has been one busy day.
Hospice came today to pick up mom's clothes, shoes, etc. I'm so glad it's over that was the hardest thing I've done since she left us. It now seems to final with most of her things gone. I gave a few things to a couple of her church friends, my friends, my cleaning lady, but the rest went to Hospice. I still have some of her personl things in her room but I'm not ready to do anything with them yet. It is a good feeling giving things to hospice because they do so so much for the needy. I truly respect the way they handled Mom and all of us, they are wonderful and deserve anything we can do for them. I hope soon we can redecorate her room and use it for company, it has sat empty so long I know she would want us to put it to use. I still keep her room door closed I guess out of sight out of mind.
Patrick is watching a movie that I couldn't get into, so I'm doing laundry and fighting with my cat, Sugar, over the computer keyboard. She often thinks she can type and she likes to help with my writing.
Okay Rosie a new dish (again) for dinner tonight. A casserole with chicken breasts (boneless of course) stuffing, mixed vegetables and a can of cream of chicken soup mixed with a little sour cream. I'll let you know how it is once dinner is over. I try lots of different dishes with chicken because Patrick isn't overly fond of beef and he doesn't eat seafood (like Dad) so I have to make a lot of different chicken dishes. I think in the last year I've cooked more chicken then my entire life. Actually I'm glad because it is so much better for you.
Well, I think I'll check the washer and get the clothes into the dryer. Dad's asleep but I'm sure he'll wake soon and be ready to talk for awhile. Stay inside & stay cool. I'll post again later tonight or after the gym tomorrow.
Love,
Patty
