Can you believe it's still in the 90's? I certainly don't know how hot it's going to get as the summer goes on and I'm absolutely not anxious to find out. I know the NE has had a lot of rain which is keeping our temperatures elevated but this is crazy. I NEVER (& I've been here since the early 70's) remember it being so hot this early in the year. We are normally in the low 80's with a breeze nothing like we've been having.
Let me tell you how hot it's been, we've stayed inside every afternoon & watched movies thank God for Blockbuster and Netflix all we've done is stay in to stay cool. We have definately watched our share of movies over the past couple of weeks. The down side is it seems to rain in the afternoon (some of the days) & all we can do is watch TV & listen to the grass grow. Yep, it grows so fast by the time you finish the grass you need to start all over again. I don't know when I'll cut this weekend if at all, it's far to hot outside to even think about it.
Our cleaning lady was here today and I felt sorry for her working - so sorry that I had to do a few things around the house so I did't feel so guilty. Dad is doing okay, he has spent the bulk of his days reading and now watching the golf tournament. Patrick's injured fingers are feeling better but the warehouse is far to hot for him to try to bother doing anything over there. Yesterday our electric was out until about 6:30 I'm so glad we have the generator but the weather did cool down to the 70's and it was nicer in the building for him to piddle with his new project tool that he's attempting to assemble. Some sort of table router (I think) & the directions for assembly are extremely poor so he has a full job ahead of him putting it together. We had our normal gym schedule today but Sammy cheated and they had to play longer then normal to beat each other up (HE HE HE!!). Boy Sam I don't know what we'd do without you, life would be so boreing. Our friend from the gym Donnie that has surgery called & he seems to be feeling okay, guess we'll try to reach him over the weekend and check to see how things are progressing. I imagine he'll be off the racquetball courts for awhile while he's healing.
Well, I think I'll close & get my clean bath towels out of the dryer. Stay inside, stay dry (if it's raining), and stay cool if it's as hot there as it has been here. I'll post again later. Remember guys to take your ladies out to dinner for Father's Day THEY DESERVE IT!!
Hugs & Kisses,
Patty
