We got home about an hour ago from Dad's doctor's appointment, grabbed a Subway for dinner, Dad's watching the golf match (which I think just ended), and Patrick is washing the car. What a day - sure wish it would end. The Retina specialist said Dad has Macular Degeneration I assume from aging. Unfortunately, it has progressed in his right eye until most of his straight-on (forward) vision is gone. The doctor is starting injections next week directly into the eye but it doesn't look or sound promising. We have to do regular at home testing on his good eye to try to control it from the same disease. I swear getting old definately stinks, we only hope that the injections will help but it didn't sound promising. Keep your fingers crossed and say your prayers for Dad, I can't imagine him not being able to read or watch TV like he currently does.
We still have to finish the molding on the new flooring, but the doctor's appointment was more important. Hopefully Patrick will finish the car quickly, come home and eat, and relax for the evening. I think I'll call it an early evening, the day has definately been stressful.
Well, I think I'll close and go check on Patrick. We love and miss everyone.
Love,
Patty
