Well, another day has nearly come and gone. Dad is managing, still using some oxygen but not as frequently as before. His appetite seems to be increasing and I try to feed him as healthy as I can. I've just worked out my Thanksgiving Day cooking schedule and we'll watch the Macy's Parade and the dreaded Dallas Cowboys. Sure wish we could watch the Resdkins!!!
The crematory called today and Mom's cremation has been completed; I asked that they wait until early next week to bring us the remains as we don't need to try to handle it over the Thanksgiving holiday. Next Thursday is the service at our church, small just as my Mom wanted. I think that is when my Dad will realize that Mom is gone forever. I honestly don't think reality has set in, I don't think he has actually accepted that she will never be home again. We all sit and talk alot about her and things from the past sometime it is better to discuss things that make you smile and bring back fond memories. We all truly love and miss her. Her cats continue to look in every room for her.
Well, I'll close and watch the news. We love and miss everyone.
Love,
Patty
