Unfortunately, my Mom passed away this afternoon about 12:30. She went to sleep peacefully, no more pain or suffering. Patrick stood at her bedroom window looked out and spoke of the beautiful day, the chilly weather, and how perfect the day was for Mom to pass on. I looked down on her in the bed and discovered she wasn't breathing. I think she had heard all she needed to hear from us and she decided to cross into the light. I know life must end but I have asked myself thousands of times over the last couple of weeks why we have to go through the things we must endure. I know now that she is with all of her deceased family in heaven and she will look down on us daily and guide us through the rest of our lives.
All of us will surely miss her but we didn't want her to suffer any longer. She is now in heaven enjoying her family and the wonderful world God has to offer her. I feel as though she is far better off then we are. It is very hard to explain how I feel, I feel the loss of my Mom, my best friend, the only person I could seek motherly love from, quite frankly I will miss her more then anyone could realize. Mom I LOVE YOU but I'm happy you moved on to your new life please look after us as I know you will.
I don't think my Dad has actually realized she is gone. I have told him but he seems very cold and doesn't seem to realize that she will never be home again. I only pray God will guide him through our loss and make it as painless as possible. I know his heart is weak from the two recent heart attacks I only hope it doesn't break him down any further.
