1/1/11 Happy New Years!

January 1, 2011 04:42 by pphipps
Doesn't it seem strange 1/1/11 - all 1's???  Strange or not, I know it's going to be one super year.  2010 went out on a "huge" bang for us and 2011 I know will be wonderful.

12/31/2010 FRIDAY

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I haven't blogged because the site has been giving me problems.  Patrick logged me in on his home page so hopefully this will go through.  Been a busy busy pre-New Years Eve week and all I can say is it's been WONDERFUL, MARVELOUS, FANTASTIC, "THE BEST", I could go on and on, but I'm certain you get the picture.

UCF won their Bowl game and will be bringing home a win (the first in the school history) and FSU is ahead of South Carolina but early game and only by three (3) points so I'm not counting my blessings.  However, I do think I'll close & watch the game with Patrick just couldn't let the year pass without wishing everyone a wonderful SAFE NEW YEARS EVE and  HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEARS!

Will blog tomorrow - have a super night:0)  We love & miss our friends and family.

New Years Eve Hugs & Kisses,

Patty & Pat

12/20/2010 Monday

December 20, 2010 05:31 by pphipps

5 days until Christmas I can't wait.  It's a little chilly for us but going up to the 70's by Christmas day - thank God.  Just got home from the gym, Patrick is watching Coherd and I thought I'd check e-mail then get a few things done around the house.  It's far to chilly for me to do anything outside plus I'd rather get a few things done inside before the week ends and Santa is letting himself into the house.

Looking forward to a relaxing Christmas day "alone" with Pat what could be more comforting then the beautiful tree, lots & lots of neat gifts, and sharing the time with your one & only love.  Yes, he is the true love of my life and I cherish everyday I have with him.  Oh well, I know you guys don't need to hear that so I think I'll close for now and get a few things done.

Stay inside, stay warm, and love your family as much as we love you guys.

Hugs & Kisses,

Patty

Only 9 days until Christmas - can you believe it???  I'm getting anxious however I have two deliveries that haven't arrived yet and one that got here missing an item.  I know there is enough time to get the things but I'd rather them be here then still waiting.  Both Patrick & I had deliveries today already wrapped and under the tree.

Our weather warmed up to the 60's today and it has been beautiful - looking for the 70's tomorrow:)  Our forecast for the next week are 50-70's no more freezing in sight thank God.  I hope it gets a little chilly for Christmas Eve but other then that I like the nice cool weather we're having with no humidity.  Pat's been outside since about 2:00 I have no idea what he's doing aside from enjoying the nice weather.  I think he is probably uncovering the fruit trees as they now need the sunshine guess they are like us warm sun and feeling good (or should I say better then with the cold weather):)

No special plans for dinner, I think I'm going to make a pepperoni & onion pizza something quick & easy.  Off to the grocery store in the morning, then I know there will be a few unplanned errands to run.  Well, I think I'll close & go check on Patrick.  Stay warm, get those presents wrapped and enjoy the warmth of your house.  Remember, we love & miss everyone.

Hugs,

Patty

12/15/2010 Wednesday

Yep, "HUMP" day and the week is coming to an end.  Can't believe next weekend is Christmas my how time passes us by.  Actually I can't wait to see what Santa brought me and I sure hope he delivers the last three packages that I ordered.  I check every day but no delivery yet, I think Patrick & I are both waiting for Santa to stop by and make a delivery.  You know it really doesn't matter because I kinda like getting gifts after the holiday it stretches out the wonderful holiday.  You know, we are fortunate to have each other to share every day with so what more could we actually need?

One good thing, today is not as cold as yesterday and tomorrow it going to be even warmer.  By Friday our temperatures are going to the low 70's I CAN'T WAIT:)  Sure wish we could send you guys some warm sunshine - or better yet you could come visit us:0)  We'd love to have friends and family "come on down" well, when it gets a little colder & you've had lots & lots of snow maybe you'll start having warm sunny thoughts!  Okay Franny you're exempt from the thoughts we know you have to work in the snow but hey you could send Kathy & the kids down while you work  - uh by the way send some Cream of Crab Soup with them:):)

Okay guys I think I'll get started making dinner - easy pasta with chicken & garlic knots tonight - no big deal!  Stay inside, stay warm, cuddle with some nice hot chocolate with plenty of whipped cream or marshmellows!  Remember we love & miss you guys!

Hugs,

Patty

Hi Guys, just a quick note to let you know we're doing fine, watching a recorded Christmas movie and eating a light lunch.  I tell you it's cold here colder then I remember in a long time.  I'm looking forward to Friday when it's climbing back into the 70's - ya hooo can't wait for the warmth of the sunshine again.  I truly feel sorry for everyone that has to contend with cold weather for any period of time - IT SUCKS!!!!

I have a great smelling black bean & corn stoup cooking - plan to make some jalapeno corn bread to go along with it.  Wish everyone was here to enjoy it with us.

Well, Patrick is ready to hang up the phone so I guess I should close & get this posted.  Remember we love & miss everyone (but not the cold weather).

Hugs & Kisses,

Patty

12/13/2010 Monday

December 13, 2010 04:48 by pphipps

Burr just got home from the gym & getting ready to go to the dreadful dentist.  Oh well, he's wonderful don't know why I say dreadful - guess it's my explanation of a dental appointment.  Hope everyone has their heat going, fire place burning, and not having to plow any snow.  We're suppose to have temps tonight in the upper teens which is unbelievable this time of year for us.  Guess I need to bring out the flannel jammies and get ready for a cold might - back to the 70's on Friday wish I could send you guys some of the warmth.

Got to close for now I'll post again after the dental visit.  Stay warm, have a super Monday.

Hugs,

Patty
